The Basics
How long is the tour?
About 3 hours, including multiple stops at murals, local shops, and cafes. The pace is relaxed and the stops are built in. It’s not 3 hours of continuous riding.
How many miles will we ride?
6 to 10 miles total, depending on the route. The terrain is flat throughout. There are frequent stops, so the riding itself is spread out across the full duration.
Do I need to bring my own bike?
No. Bikes are provided. You’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer, just make sure it’s in good riding condition and suited for a city ride.
Are helmets included?
Yes. Helmets are provided and recommended for all riders. Florida law requires riders under 16 to wear a helmet.
How much does the tour cost?
Day tours and night tours are $75 per person. Private tours are $300 for up to 4 people and $75 for each additional person. Corporate tours are custom pricing.
Is this tour good for beginners or people who don’t bike often?
Yes. The tours are designed for casual riders. The pace is comfortable, the terrain is flat, and the frequent stops mean you’re never grinding through long stretches. If you can ride a bike, you can do this tour.
What happens if it rains?
We ride in light rain. Tours are cancelled only when there’s a storm or a threat of lightning. If conditions require us to cancel, guests are notified by text as early as possible and offered a full refund or reschedule.
Can my kids come?
Public tours are best suited for adults and teens age 12 and up. For families with younger riders, we recommend booking a private tour so we can tailor the experience to your group.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Tours cap at 10 riders, so popular dates and times can fill up. Booking at least a few days ahead is a good idea, especially during busy travel seasons.
Where does the tour start?
All tours meet at Wally’s at 1001 N Mills Ave, Orlando, FL 32803. Free street parking is available nearby.
What should I wear and bring?
Comfortable clothes you can move in and closed-toe shoes. A refillable water bottle and sunscreen are the two most important things. Everything else is handled: bike, helmet, and the route.
How big are the groups?
Public tours are capped at 10 riders. In practice, many tours run with smaller groups of 2 to 8 riders.
What neighborhoods do we ride through?
Routes explore Ivanhoe Village, Mills 50, Thornton Park, and the areas around Lake Eola and downtown Orlando. The focus is on neighborhoods with street art, independent businesses, and local character.
Is the terrain flat?
Completely flat. Central Florida is one of the flattest urban areas in the country, which makes it genuinely accessible for riders of any fitness level.
Before and After Booking
Do you offer e-bikes?
We don’t have e-bikes regularly available. For private tours or custom rides, we can build e-bikes in for an additional cost.
What kind of bikes do you use?
We use a menagerie of rescued city bikes that are expertly tuned and tested for comfort. They are all a little different, just like the humans who ride them.
Are bikes fitted to my height before we leave?
Yes. Your guide will adjust the seat and handlebars at check-in before the group heads out.
What are the tour start times?
Tour start times change based on time of year to adjust for heat and sunlight. Check orlandobiketours.co for the latest schedule.
What is your refund policy?
Public tours are fully refundable up to 24 hours before the tour start time. Private tours are refundable up to 48 hours before. Corporate tours have customized cancellation policies. Weather cancellations are always fully refunded or rescheduled.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. After booking, you’ll receive a link to complete the waiver online before your tour. Riders who haven’t signed will need to complete it at check-in.

Will we be riding in traffic?
The routes favor neighborhood streets, paths, and quieter corridors. Your guide leads the group and manages any traffic interactions. There will be some busier street crossings, but no riding alongside traffic.
Can I do a solo tour?
You can book as a solo rider on a public tour and join other guests on the shared departure. A public tour requires a minimum of 2 people to run.
How hot will it be in summer?
Summer mornings are manageable and afternoon thunderstorms actually cool things down, but the humidity is real. Bring water and sunscreen. The tours have breaks built in, and many summer visitors choose the night tour specifically to beat the heat.
Groups and Events
Do you offer private tours?
Yes. Private tours are available for corporate outings, birthdays, bachelorette and bachelor groups, families, and any group that wants the experience to themselves. Submit a request through the Private Tours page.
Can you accommodate large groups?
Yes. With at least 7 days advance notice we can accommodate large groups of 10 or more.
Is there a maximum weight limit for the bikes?
Our bikes are rated for riders up to 300 pounds.
What if I get a flat tire on the ride?
The guide handles it. Basic mechanical support is part of the guided experience. You won’t be left standing on a curb figuring it out alone.
Can I pay cash on the day?
No. All bookings must be made online in advance of the tour.
Good to Know
Do you have bikes for very tall or very short riders?
We have bikes to accommodate people between 5’0 and 6’5. If you need a bike outside that range, send us a message and we can find something that works.
Is the tour appropriate for seniors?
Absolutely. The tour is flat, slow-paced, and built around stops. Many guests in their 60s, 70s, and beyond have taken the tour with no issues.
Can I do the tour if I’m pregnant?
Absolutely. If you are in good health and comfortable riding a bike, we would love to have you.
What if lightning starts during the ride?
Florida takes lightning seriously and so do we. If there’s active lightning in the area, we get off the route and take shelter until the storm has passed.
What is the best time of year to take this tour?
October through April is the sweet spot. Temperatures are comfortable, humidity drops, and afternoon storms are rare. That said, the tours run all 12 months.
How far are you from downtown or the theme parks?
We meet in the Mills 50 district, about 2 miles north of downtown Orlando. From the theme park corridor, it’s roughly 20 to 30 minutes by car depending on traffic.
Is a tip expected for the guide?
Tips are always appreciated and never required. Your guide pours a lot of local knowledge and genuine enthusiasm into every ride. If you had a great time, a tip is a meaningful way to show it.
Do you pick up from hotels?
We don’t coordinate hotel pickups. Many guests use a rideshare like Uber or Lyft to arrive at the meeting location.
